Season 1 Relationships!

Okay Everyone, It's Time!

Now that I've talked about the show in general and the actors, it's time to begin discussing the main theme of the show: relationships! During this season, only Matt, Mary, and Lucy were dating, but there was still plenty of action! In the first episode, Mary has a crush on Jeff, Matt's friend. The hang out during a few episodes, but Jeff really wasn't very nice and they don't last. Mary has no other real boyfriends until the last two episodes of the show, in which she meets Wilson West, a major love interest in her life until season 6. Matt has many different friends, including Renee, a pregnant teenager and Tia, the girl who wanted a family not a boyfriend. Matt never had any serious girlfriends during this season, but during the last two episodes he does meet Heather, his very serious girlfriend who happened to be deaf. During the course of the first season, Lucy gets her first boyfriend, date, and kiss with Jimmy Moon. At the end of the season Simon convinces Lucy to die her hair blond which Jimmy doesn't like. Jimmy ends up breaking up with Lucy for Ashley, another girl at school that Lucy doesn't like. Overall, it was a very interesting 22 episode relationship roller coaster that I really enjoyed and hope you did too!

Let's Talk Actors!

Hey Everyone!

Okay, so I know I'm kind of all over the place with my blogging, but still I want to talk about the lovely actors that made 7th Heaven available to us! Eric is played by Stephen Collins and Annie is played by Catherine Hicks. Both actors were in Star Trek movies, Catherine in Star Trek IV: Voyage Home, and Stephen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Catherine also starred in the movie Child's Play. Barry Watson plays Matt. Barry starred in What About Brian and Samantha Who which both had short runs on T.V. Barry left the show for about a year when his character was supposed to be in medical school, because he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, but is now in remission. Jessica Biel, the most known actor of the bunch, played Mary Camden. She has been in several movies, such as The Illusionist and Valentines Day. She officially left the show in season 6 because she was tired of the squeaky clean image it was giving her. Beverley Mitchel played Lucy Camden. Beverley has guest starred on a few shows, but her biggest achievement is her country music album released in 2006. Simon was played by David Gallagher. David is most famous for playing Mikey in Look Who's Talking Now and voicing Riku in the Kingdom Hearts video games. He temporarily left the show to attend college full-time during season 8. Ruthie was played by Mackenzie Rosman. Mackenzie loves singing, riding horses, and shes a big supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because her step-sister Katelyn Salmont, (who guest starred on 7th Heaven) lived with it. Sadly Katelyn died on Christmas 2008. Sam and David were played by Lorenzo and Nikolas Brino. They were originally played by all four Brino quadruplets, Nikolas,Lorenzo, Zachary, and Myrinda but when they started showing differences, especially since Myrinda was a girl, Nikolas and Lorenzo were officially chosen! This was just some background information to help you get to know the actors who play your favorite characters better!

MTV Making of the Show Clips!

Hey Guys!

I found this great video on YouTube about the making of the show! I can only find 3 parts of it, but its still interesting! The episode they are filming during the documentary is "I Really Do" from season 6 which is the episode where Matt meets Sarah and they elope! I watched that episode last night and it felt so weird to know that while Mary and Lucy are talking, tons of cameras are right there behind them filming! I know they always have cameras, but the show always feels so real to me that I don't think about it!
Adios!

Pilot Episode!

Wow! Look how young everyone is! This is the DVD cover for the first season. I love the pilot episode! It's strange because everything is different, most noticeably the inside and outside of the house! Funny! It's also a sad episode because Annie and Eric find out that her mom has acute leukemia. I wonder why the writers wanted to start out with something so big and sad? This episode also has the first appearance of Mrs. Bink, (played by Eileen Brennan) the longest recurring character on the show!
Fun Fact: Every time ice cream is eaten on the show, it's actually mashed potatoes because the ice cream would melt under all the filming lights!
