Electrifying Emotion

What I love about 7th Heaven is that it's such a variety. Just like any real family is. They have good days, they have bad days. Some episodes are lighthearted and leave you feeling warm inside... others are packed with strong, electrifying emotions that make your heart race. It's as if you are really there, experiencing the scene...

I watched one of these episodes tonight.

Nothing Endures But Change

Simon contemplates moving into the attic to escape Ruthie's annoying presence. Lucy is devastated when her friend Sarah is involved in a deadly car accident and Lucy feels that she's to blame for the tragedy.

Lucy finds out that her friend, Sarah's, big sister, Jen, lets Sarah drive the car sometimes. Lucy begs her parents to let her go out with Sarah and Jen. Matt drops Lucy off at Pete's Pizza and she waits outside for Sarah and Jen. Meanwhile, Captain Michael's drops by the Camden household to deliver the devastating news. There was an accident. A car wrapped around a telephone pole. One girl was killed instantly, the other one was in a very bad condition.

"Which One?"

"Sarah."

You see, I've seen this episode more than a few times. I knew what was going to happen. Yet, it was still this rush of raw emotion.

When Annie gets out of the car and find Lucy standing outside Pete's Pizza, Lucy rushes up to her. She is immediately repentant.... and so innocent. She says she is sorry for going across the street and she will never do this again. Annie takes a deep breath, " Lucy, the car crash. Sarah was killed." They both break down into hysterical sobs in the middle of the promenade.

I started crying. My whole body was tingling with such real emotion. I felt like my own friend had just died in a car crash. It's all so real. It's hard to believe that it's just a show.

What's your favorite raw, emotional episode? I'd love to hear about some other ones I hadn't thought of!

Prayer is Not Nothing!

On my other blog, I made a reference to an episode of 7th Heaven!

What Will People Say?

The entire town is abuzz over the rumor that Eric is having an extramarital affair when he is seen escorting a woman to a hotel; Simon endures the wrath and ridicule of his fellow classmates when his secret crush is discovered.

Obviously, Eric was not having an affair. He was helping out a woman whose ex-husband was stalking her. She was lost.

"The last few days, I've done nothing but pray."

"Well, that's NOT nothing."

Revival Post

All I can say is... this is surreal. Absolutely Surreal! I haven't posted on this blog since April 10th, 2010! Today, it is March 4th, 2011? A year for all intensive purposes.

I can't believe that it was only last year that I started this blog! It was fun... while it lasted. That "daily posts" thing? It couldn't have been farther from reality.

I've since started 2 other blogs, one which I DO post on everyday and love to do it, too. It's such a fun blog. The name is Faithful Always. The second blog, well I've posted on it. Yeah. It's called Quintessential Quotes, and it is very fun, but I just don't set aside enough time to post there everyday.

I've logged onto blogger daily since the New Year started, everyday glancing down at "7th Heaven Fan Blog" and ignoring it. Well, not anymore! I'm excited to say that this blog is back to stay! (Nothing like an 11 month absence to revive your spirits, right?)

I can't promise a daily post, but I'll shoot for at least 3 days a week. I realized that I love this blog. My "firstborn". I love 7th Heaven! So I'm back.

I've learned so much about blogging since I started Faithful Always. It's amazing! This blog... well it really does look pretty pitiful. I didn't even know what HTML was last April!

I'll be sprucing up the blog and making it look A LOT nicer. This is going to be fun. I'm excited to meet new people and actually Begin this blog. (Those first 5 days don't really count.)

This is the second "unofficial" welcome post. I've got the 7th Heaven playing (A classic: Sundays, from Season 1. You remember... Mary doesn't want the family to go to her game, Simon and Ruthie get lost chasing the mailman....)  A real post is in the works as we speak.

Pop in a disk, sit down at your computer, and join me in the revival of this wonderful blog!
